Shen Jingjuan, a master of an intangible cultural heritage craft, creates Wuxi’s distinctive Chinese New Year treat by pressing rice cakes with her feet. With a 600-year history and nine traditional procedures, the time-honored foot-tamped rice cake embodies the craftsmanship of old Jiangnan and carries heartfelt wishes for the Year of the Horse.
